Part of keeping Corydon’s water clean is the maintenance of the Water Tanks. Thanks to Stacy Sailor and the awesome crew in the Corydon Water Department, the Water Tanks stay well maintained.
In 2018, 2019 and 2020 Corydon contracted to have the water tanks painted to keep them in good working order.
Painting the tanks ensures that they will not rust and will remain in good working order for years to come. Due to the excellent care taken to maintain the tanks, engineers believe they should not need painting again for another 20 years.

Both the inside and the outside of the water tanks are being painted.
By draining the tanks and painting the inside of the tanks, we ensure the tanks will stay in good condition and rust-free for years to come.
With proper maintenance, the Water Tanks should only have to be repainted every 20 years.
