The Town of Corydon’s Council is elected to 4-year terms by ward to represent you and your concerns. Residents are encouraged to reach out directly to their ward representative with any questions or concerns.
The Council meets on the first and third Tuesdays of the month at 7:00 PM. The meetings are held in the Meeting Room in the rear of the Town Hall. The meetings are open to the public.
The Board of Zoning Appeals is in charge of making decisions regarding any and all appeals to the Town of Corydon Zoning Ordinance.
The Town of Corydon has transferred the control and management of the Cedar Hill Cemetery under the code IC 23-14-65-11 to the Cedar Hill Cemetery Board of Regents. This board consists of (4) four members who are residents of the municipality. The Board meets at 9:00 AM on the second Wednesday of each month.
If you live in the Historic Preservation District, you need to come to a meeting and obtain a Certificate of Appropriateness before making any changes on your facade, or any part of your home that can be easily seen from the road.
The Planning and Zoning Board is in charge of all Zoning. The Board’s main purpose is to create an atmosphere which makes the implementation of the Corydon Comprehensive Plan possible.
The Redevelopment Commission is for the assessment, planning, re-planning, remediation, development, and redevelopment of economic development areas. IC 36-7-14-2.5
